There have been 49 verified supercentenarians from Canada.〔(Validated living supercentenarians ) The Gerontology Research Group lists persons as living whose age has been validated and confirmed to be alive within the past year.〕 The oldest verified person ever from Canada was Marie-Louise Meilleur, who died in 1998 aged 117 years 230 days.
